Judith Wright

Judith Renee Wright, 47, of Lone Oak, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Bull Creek Cowboy Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Mike Moss will officiate.  Interment will follow in Miller Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday at the church.

Judi was born in Dallas, Texas on June 14, 1968.  She was the daughter of James Edward Armstrong and Bonnie Sue Durmon Armstrong.  She worked at American National Bank in Terrell and was a member of Bull Creek Cowboy Church.

In 1983 God brought together two young teenagers that were in still in High School. They dated for 4 years and were married February 7, 1987. It is not very often that someone finds their soul mate at the age of 17 and 15, but Robert and Judi did. They spent 17 years together growing their love, and were devoted to each other. In 2004, Robert and Judi were blessed with a wonderful daughter, Rachel. Robert and Judi knew that this was a long awaited blessing from God. Judi was a loving Mother, wonderful wife, and an inspirations to many. She went through over 2 years of treatments and always had a smile on her face. She took the time to encourage others and still maintained a positive attitude. She knew that God had her in the palm of his hand and she found comfort in that.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Wright of Lone Oak; daughter, Rachel Wright of Lone Oak; mother, Bonnie Sue Armstrong of Lone Oak; brother, Timothy Wayne Armstrong and wife, Stephanie of The Woodlands; and nephews, Justin, Jonathan and Jack Armstrong and Jeff Jackson.  Her father preceded her in death in 2014.

Pallbearers will be Justin Armstrong, Jonathon Armstrong, Ronny Armstrong, Joey Armstrong, Jamie Farmer and Jim Farmer.

The family requests memorials be made to Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 60 East 56th St., 8th floor, New York, New York 10022 or to Bull Creek Cowboy Church, 9591 Highway 69, Point, Texas 75472.

"God gained an Angel and I lost a sweet and kind friend. I had the pleasure to work with Judy at American National Bank. She always had a positive attitude and even over the phone you can hear her smile. I will miss you dearly. You might be gone but you will be never forgotten....."

"47 years ago I prayed and prayed for a baby girl. We had been blessed with a son two years earlier. My prayers were answered and my beautiful sweet daughter grew into a beautiful loving, caring and generous woman who loved our lord and trusted him with all her heart. She became a diabetic at age 4 but never let it hold her back. She was a cheerleader, played alto sax in the band and won many awards. She was so very precious to me I am lost without her. Loving Mother"
