Cretta Mae Hampton, Age 88, of Lake Butler, Florida passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2008 in Lake City, Florida. Graveside Services will be Wednesday, April 23rd at 2:00 PM at the Celeste Cemetery with Mr. Randy Daw officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hampton was born on January 2, 1920 in Celeste, Texas to Clyde Berton and Cordelia Beezley Rogers. On December 7, 1940 she married Wade Nathan Hampton in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and former member of Johnson Street Church of Christ. She was a long-time member of the American Legion Auxillary.
Her survivors includeher daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Carleton L. LeDoux of Lake Butler, Florida; granddaughter and husband, Jennifer Rhea and Scot Ferguson of Williamsburg, Ohio; grandson Arthur M. LeDoux of Gainesville, Florida; Great-grandchild Ashley Caithlin Ferguson of Williamsburg, Ohio; and great-grandchild Hunter Scot Ferguson of Williamsburg, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, C. B. Rogers, Jr.; and two grandchildren, Rhonda Lee Thompson and MIichael Wade Thompson.
