"Although we knew Billie a short time, he was always a shining face at the DAV meetings. He said the most wonderful prayers for our meetings. Prayers are with his family as he is laid to rest."

"Billy was a wonderful man and will be sorely missed. He was my chaplain for the DAV Chapter 81 for quite a few years and could always be counted upon to be on hand to help in any way he could. He was also loved and will be missed by many of the people and veterans at Bonham VA hospital who knew and met him each month as we went to give them a birthday party. Although you not Navy, you were my brother, "Fair WInds And Following Seas, Shipmate"."
