Frances Monk
Winnie Frances (Fran) Monk, 87, of Greenville, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Legend Health Care. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Highland Terrace Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. Chet Haney, Rev. Bob Layman and Dr. Kelly Carr will officiate. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Monk was born in Colorado City, Texas on May 20, 1928. She was the daughter of Victor Homer Cooper and Mary Grace Andrews. She married Jerl Ray Monk on November 3, 1948 in Rockwall, Texas and was retired from E-Systems. She was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Larry Monk of Greenville and Jerry Monk and wife, Donna of Goodyear, Arizona; grandchildren, Kevin and Lisa Monk, Jeffrey Monk, Larry Monk, Jr., David Monk and Kerry Monk. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one great-granddaughter, two brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers will be David Diggs, Phillip Cross, David Roberts, Amos Lowry, Charles Roberts and Marvin Flowers.
