Allene Mize
Allene Mize, 77 of Celeste, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 10 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Celeste with Rev. Jim Sherwin officiating. Burial will follow at Celeste Cemetery. Service are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Allene was born in Celeste, Texas on September 8, 1937 to Haskell Biggs and Pansy Williams. She married John H. Mize on October 4, 1967 in Celeste, Texas. She retired from E-Systems and was a member of First Baptist Church of Celeste and a member of Thursday Club and WMU.
Allene is survived by her husband of Celeste, son, Mike Lipsey and wife, Carol of Celeste, step-son, John H. "Butch" Mize Jr., and wife, Beth, sister-in-law, Kathy Biggs of Greenville, grandchildren, Brody Lipsey and wife, Devon of Gladewater, Tina McDaniel and husband, John of Celeste and Todd Eudy and wife, Amy of Forney, three grandchildren, niece, Mary Kay Elliott of Pottsboro and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Allen Biggs and granddaughter, Britney Lipsey.
Pallbearers will be Collin Clark, Cody Clark, Russell Compton, Barry Compton, Matt Ottwell and John Mark Barnard.
