Julia Garcia, 80 of Greenville, passed away on February 21, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Deacon Lee Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Caddo Mills I. O. O. F. Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Julia was born on September 17, 1934 in San Perlita, Texas to Segundo Garcia and Juanita Martinez. She married Paul Garcia, Sr. on October 26, 1957 in Paducah, Texas. She was a homemaker and member of St. Williams Catholic Church.
Julia is survived by her children, Linda Garcia, Rosa Garcia, Matilda Garcia, Paul Garcia, Jr., Florentino Garcia and wife, Amelia, Rickey Garcia all of Greenville, Benny Garcia and wife, Anita of Caddo Mills; sisters and brothers, Chello Cavazos and husband, Gabriel of Dallas, Toni Lopez of Dallas, Gonzalo Garcia and wife, Trini of Greenville, Fred Garcia and wife, Maria of Dallas, Johnny Garcia of Heath; in-laws, Ramona Gonzales and husband, Isobel of Greenville, Susie Shanks and husband, Walter of Greenville, Lupe Garcia and wife, Gaudalupe of Rockwall, Johnny Garcia and wife, Alice of Celeste; grandchildren, Daniel Garcia and wife, Sarai, David Garcia, Jessica Cherry and Nick Robinson, Brianna Garcia, Alayna Garcia; great-grandchildren, Emma Nicole Rasberry, Nathaniel Jace Robinson, Harmony and Israel Garcia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Sam Garcia, Jeff Garcia, George Melendez, Robert Gonzales, Gilbert Rodriguez, and Danny Ray Bowman.
