Walter Bill Morrison
Walter Bill Morrison, 68, of Campbell, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Hunt Regional Community Hospital in Commerce. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Tony Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Brigham Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born in Greenville on March 23, 1946, he was the son of Bill Morrison and Altha White Morrison. On April 14, 1968, he married the love of his life Eula Katherine “Kathy” Swindell in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and retired from Explorer Pipeline as a service technician after 26 years.
Walter was loved by all and respected by many. He was a loyal husband, devoted father, and beloved brother. He will be missed dearly by all of his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Morrison; son, Tony Morrison and spouse Janeene; daughter, Kristie Stribling; brothers, Derl Morrison and wife Brenda, Jerry Morrison and wife Sherrie and Doug Morrison and wife Shryle; sister, Lavern Adams; grandchildren, Joshua Morrison and wife Amberly, Blake Shipman, Dylan Morrison, Caleb Morrison, Andrew Stribling and Isabella Stribling; and two great-grandchildren, Kade Factor and Wyatt Morrison. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Elva Morrison and Fredrick Morrison.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Morrison, Dylan Morrison, Blake Shipman, Joshua Morrison, David Morrison, Billy Morrison, Scott Monroe and Travis Morrison. Honorary pallbearer will be Andrew Stribling.
