Jason Christian Kilmer, 43, of Royse City passed away February 7, 2015 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.  A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Club Lake club house.

Jason came into this life like a firecracker on July 2nd, 1971 and lived his whole life that way.  He lit up everyone’s world with his charismatic grin and contagious laugh.  Jason graduated from ETSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994 and worked as a successful engineer the rest of his life.  During his professional career, Jason touched innumerable lives through his contributions to medical science.  He was a devoted and loving friend, grandson, brother, uncle, son, husband, and most importantly a father to two girls who were his universe.  If Jason hadn’t helped you, told you he loved you, or made you laugh, you just hadn’t known him long enough.

Jason is survived by his wife, Mikayle (Hix) Kilmer whom he married on October 10, 2014 in Cancun, Mexico; his parents William Christian Kilmer and Cheryl (McMillon) Kilmer; daughters Jace Kilmer and Olivia Moreland; sister Sara Elizabeth Kilmer; and nieces and nephews Averi, Alex, Aspen, Caleb, Madison, Sydney and Aubrey.

"Hi Jason, I pray no one reads this. I wish you could be here for Jace. Since you passed she hasn't been the same. I just hope she can go back to her normal self someday. I haven't heard her mention anything about becoming an actress since you left, becoming an actress was the topic of every conversation with her and I cant remember the last time she mentioned even the word actress. Wish you never left, for Jace's sake and everyone else's. Fly high forever till we all get to see ya again one day. Hope you are doing good up there. I'm very grateful that Jace has her own personal guardian angel. Rip"

"Cheryl and Chris, I do not know you, but I knew your son and I am terribly sorry for your loss. He was a great man, we used to work together at OsteoMed and we hit it off immediately. We both loved booze and pot and going to the casinos so it was magic. He would lend me his car when I was without one temporarily and let me spend the night at his place numerous times, usually cause I would get hammered and I would have no business driving. I'll miss him. I'm sorry for this late post, but I just found out as I was just randomly looking through old coworker facebook profiles. RIP Jason."
