"Maxey was my friend. I am going to remember his easy charm and cultivated sense of style. Maxey was generous, over the top and larger than life. Personalities like his never fade. He will be with us always."

"Dear Max, Doesn't seem real. Out of all of us, you never changed. Of course, it was due to stove black #7, but you had good genes too and took care of yourself. I have missed and will miss your humor and sharing lunch with you. Mark said the other day "He looked after all his friends, I wonder why we didn't look after him" That could not be more true. There always seems like there's time enough. I know you are on to better adventures, but I'll miss saying things to you to make you laugh. Keep an eye on us all buddy. Godspeed Max."

"Remembering the good times that we shared as kids and calling you my "almost cousin"! My aunt, and your fourth-grade teacher, Anne Garber loved you and consider you as one of her most outstanding and promising students! I always loved being with you and Carol!"
