Elmer C. Tennison-Dicks, 72, of Greenville, formerly of Jefferson, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wesley D. Pierce officiating and Rev. Brian Keith Thomas making a few remarks.. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, December 29, 2014, at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service time Saturday, at the funeral home.
Born May 9, 1942, Elmer was the daughter of A. B. Criss and Neva Cain Criss. She married John R. Dicks, Sr. on December 24, 2010 in Greenville. She was a member of Carter Temple CME Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Tamera Birmingham-Jones and Francine Hayes and husband, Vic; sons, David Tennison and wife, Arleatha and Terence Tennison and wife, Janice; grandchildren, Kalan Burnett, Myles Hayes, Joshua Hayes, Caleb Hayes, Britney Birmingham-Minnis, Trenton Tennison , Layton Tennison and Magnus Feaster. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Dicks, Jr in 2013; parents; grandmother; grandson, Carlos J. BLirmingham, III; and aunts, Bobbie G. Barrett and Nola Baucom.
