Gerald Lee “Jerry” Garfield
Gerald Lee “Jerry” Garfield, 72, of Mesquite, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 at his residence. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Hailes officiating. Visitation will be 12 Noon until service time, Saturday at the funeral home.
Jerry was born December 29, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Richard E. Garfield and Elenor Walsh Garfield. He married Connie Rae Landrum on February 28, 1981 in Dallas. He was a retired insurance agent for Union Bankers Insurance Company and an office manager for H & R Block, a member of the Mesquite Lions Club and a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Rae Garfield of Mesquite; daughter, Laticha Dawn Garfield Hamilton; sons, Gary, Gregg, Curtis and Shawn Garfield; sister, Norma Jean Osburn; and grandchildren, Mason and Makenna Hamilton and Megan and Sarah Clawson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pat.
