Gloria Bowen
Gloria Bowen went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 19, 2014 at the age of 69. A memorial is scheduled at Coker Mathews Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday July 22 at 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the memorial.
Gloria was born in Fort Worth on February 14, 1945 to Kenneth and Helen Wagley. She worked at Haggar Slacks while going to college and raising two sons. She graduated from East Texas State University in 1979 with Bachelor and Masters Degrees and began her teaching career at Greenville ISD. She was a teacher for Greenville ISD for the past 35 years and just recently retired. She loved teaching, gardening, fishing and spoiling her granddaughter.
Gloria is survived by her son John Bowen and spouse, Stacy of Lone Oak. She is also survived by her granddaughter Sarah Bowen of Lone Oak; sisters Shirley Phillips of Cash, Patricia Caldwell and spouse, Larry of Fairview and Francis Goss and spouse, Andy of Rowlett; brothers Joe Wagley and spouse, Wendy of Hideaway Lake and Henry Wagley and spouse, Leanne of Miller Grove. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Chris, her mother, her father and her step mother Nell Wagley.
