Doris Faye Bowman
Doris Faye Bowman, 79, of Greenville, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Greenville Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Mullins officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Born in Poynor, Texas on May 25, 1935, Mrs. Bowman was the daughter of William Henry Gillum and Myrtle Lee Hall Gillum. She married James A. (Jim) Bowman on June 30, 1963 in the state of Washington. She was a member of Bible Missionary Church.
Survivors include her husband, James A. (Jim) Bowman of Greenville; sons, Roger Bowman of Tulsa and Alan Bowman of Tulsa; daughters, Jerri Bowman of Greenville and Rhonda Evans of Tulsa; brothers, Herman Gillum of Tulsa, Roger Gillum of Stillwater, OK and Julius Gillum of North Carolina; sister, Debbie Gillum of Houston; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar Gillum; sisters Lilly Powell, Jean Wells and Joann Persons; and grandson, Aaron Womack.
