Joyce Beal
Joyce Aileen Beal, 84, of Greenville, passed away on March 13, 2014 at the Broadmoor Medical Lodge in Rockwall. A funeral mass will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Father Gary Herbst officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is handling all local arrangements.
Joyce was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on August 24, 1929 to Marcus and Mildred Nunnelee Womack. She was raised in Oklahoma City where she graduated from Central High School. Joyce married George E. Beal, Jr. on July 14, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Joyce worked for Cablevision in Greenville from 1967 to 1987 when she retired. She was involved in many organizations, past president of Greenville Business & Professional Women and former Board Member of Hunt County Shared Ministries (FISH). She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church where she also served as treasurer.
Joyce is survived by her sons, William Beal and wife, Brenda of Joshua and Paul Beal and wife, Dana of Islamorada, Florida; grandchildren, Amanda Beal of Billings, MT and Lt. Caitlin Beal of Fort Drum, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
