Jane Hardin, 74 of Greenville, formerly of Caddo Mills, passed away on February 8, 2014 at the Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Bill McFatridge officiating. Burial will follow at Caddo Mills I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jane was born on July 11, 1939 in Longview to Andrew Horace and Grover Lee Julian Stephenson. On October 29, 1966 she married Mike Hardin in McAlester, Oklahoma.
She worked as a secretary with the Hunt County Commissioners Office until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Caddo Mills.
Jane is survived by her husband of Greenville; son, Todd Hardin and wife Kerry of Caddo Mills; daughter, Holly Wakefield and husband Brian of Waxahachie; sister, Kay Gray and husband Weldon of Simms; grandchildren, Chase, Colby, and Lindsey Wakefield, Alyssa and Avery Hardin, Bailey Miley, Rance and Dakota Thornton; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Billy Gene Buchanan.
Pallbearers will be Bob Abbott, Dewayne Bethea, John Cox, Wendell McGuire, Clint Thornton, and Rance Thornton.
