Wanda Lou Samples, 71, of Greenville passed away September 18, 2013. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Mr. Rick Henslee officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Born March 24, 1942 in Hunt County, Wanda was the daughter of David D. and Primrose (Jones) Lake. On June 1, 1963 in Greenville, she married George Samples who preceded her in death on December 7, 2003. She received an associate degree from Eastfield College. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ faith.
Her survivors include her brother, Larry Lake of Wolfe City; sister, Debra Allen of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Carolyn Rozell.
Pallbearers will be Jared Allen, Lloyd Lanier, Johnny Rozell, Ray Allen, David Keller, and Jerry Jones.
