Joe W. Langford, Age 77, of Rowlett, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 20th at his residence. Services are scheduled for Saturday, February 23 at the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Aubery Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM on Friday.
Mr. Langford was born on June 11, 1930 in Quinlan to John R. Langford and Catherine Simmons L:angford. On July 25, 1958 he married Johnnie V. Myrick in McKinney. He was a retired owner of Joe's Auto Repair in Garland and served in the US Army during the Korean War.
His survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Lisa & Neil Murphy of Garland, Amy & Kevin McGuffey of Rowlett, and Andra & Larry Hiney of Clayton, North Carolina and five grandchildren, Kenan McGuffey, Megan McGuffey, Barry Hiney, Jeff Hiney, and Sarah Hiney.
He was preceded in death by his wife, on October 30, 2002, his parents, and a brother Johnny Rex Langford on July 4, 1983.
Randy Slona, Kenan McGuffey, Barry Hiney, Jeff Hiney, Gary Felmet, and James Benson will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
