Ocie Mae Barrett, 91, of Rowlett, formerly of Greenville, died Thursday, February 21, 2008, in the Balch Springs Nursing Home. Funeral services will be Sunday, February 24, 2008, at 2:00 PM in Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Glynn Davis and Rev. Jonathan David Gentry officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Mrs. Barrett was born in Meadow Grove, Oklahoma on august 25, 2008, the daughter of Arthur and Nora Winkle Blunt. She was married to Oscar Barrett, who preceded her in death in 1997. She was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Garland.
Mrs. Barrett is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Brinkley of Balch Springs; grandsons, Steven Brinkley and wife Karen of Garland and Timothy Brinkley and wife Liz of Rowlett; brother, Leon Blunt of Caddo Mills; numerour great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in deth by sons, Albert Brinkley and Johnny Judge and daughter, Shirley Thornton.
Pallbearers will be Steve Brinkley, Tim Brinkley, Michael Brinkley, Luke Brinkley, Danny Blunt and Jimmy Blunt.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 23, 2008, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
