Barbara JoHenderson

Barbara Jo Henderson, 79, of Caddo Mills passed away May 30, 2013 at Legend Health Care.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Dr. John T. Tate officiating.  Interment will follow at East Mount Cemetery

Born June 7, 1933 in Greenville, Barbara was the daughter of A. C. and Lottie Mae (Goodman) Eastup.  She worked for many years at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company where she had many dear friends.  She was a prolifer and talented artist in many media, especially wood carving, sculpture, and oil painting.  After her retirement, she enjoyed growing beautiful vegetable gardens and sharing her bounty.

She is survived by her husband Dennis; brother Bill Eastup and wife Dot; three sisters Betty Schwene, Ann Steed, and Wanda Ayersman and husband Jim; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Wesley Eastup and A. C. Eastup, Jr.; and two sisters Lera Mae Jenkins and Pernita Curtis.

She was our special “Jo”, and we will miss her always.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
