Archie Porter Holloway
Archie Porter Holloway, 79, of Mesquite, died Saturday, April 27, 2013 in Texas Regional Medical Center in Sunnyvale. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM,Wednesday at Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville. David Davy, Gary Bingham and Richard Holloway will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas.
Mr. Holloway was born in Fannin County, Texas on June 12, 1933. He was the son of Archie Dee Holloway and Hazel Haltom Holloway. He was retired from the City of Garland and a member of the Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland.
Survivors include his brothers John Holloway and wife, Sally of Collinsville and Jess Holloway and wife, Eris of Sachse; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death his parents; brother, Leon Holloway; sisters, Jewel Walker, Lorene Doyle, Aletha Hedgecock and Nadine Wallace.
