Dorothy OnealLewis

Dorothy Oneal Lewis of Greenville passed away December 13, 2012 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital in Sulphur Springs. Our Momma’s hands have served her and all of us that knew her so very well throughout her 85 years.  Those are now the ones that God has reached out and taken to lead her home.  Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. James Seigler officiating.  Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time on Sunday.

Born August 12, 1927 in Campbell, Dorothy was the daughter of Robert (Jack) and Ola (Gilbreath) Oneal.  On December 18, 1946 in Greenville, she married W. G. Lewis.

She formerly worked as an assembler for Rock Tenn, a cook for the Royal Drive Inn and a homemaker raising seven children.  She was an avid sports fan and especially loved her Texas Rangers.  She was a member of North Baptist Church.

Her survivors include her sons Bobby Lewis and wife, Teena of Garland, Timothy Lewis of Greenville and John Lewis of McKinney; daughters Patsy Pinegar and husband Chris of Mesquite, Judy Jetton and husband Jody of Campbell and Janice Isham and husband David of Greenville; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989; her parents; son Ricky Lewis; grandsons Danny Lewis and Jason Wilburn; brothers Robert Oneal and Ray Fincher;

sister Willie Earle; and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Lewis

Pallbearers will be Tommy Kirk, Justin Miles, Bobby Lewis II, Rickey Lewis, Jeremy Miles, and Kenny Kirk.
