William B. “Bill” Barnett, 85, of Campbell passed away November 20, 2012 at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at the First Baptist Church of Campbell with Rev. Danny Buster and Rev. Cary Kinnaird officiating. Interment will follow at Brigham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Friday until service time at the church. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born October 16, 1927 in Greenville, Bill was the son of Coe J. and Bess (Robertson) Barnett. On March 20, 1959 in Campbell, he married Muriel Kathleen (Spears) Barnett. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and worked as a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Campbell.
His survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins; dear friends Ray and Karla Burke and Barry and Lisa Buchanan; and his church family at First Baptist Church in Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his wife on December 18, 2011; his parents; brother Robert Hal Barnett and sister Joe Nell Malone.
Pallbearers will be Edd Stuart, Ray Tarrant, Dennis Dawson, Al Dyer, Lee Greninger, and Keith Tarrant.
