Harold Edgar Snider, 82, of Greenville passed away October 22, 2012 in a Sherman hospital. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. Glenda McLemore will officiate.
Born April 11, 1930 in Muncie, Indiana, Harold was the son of Virgil and Lula (Moody) Snider. On July 14, 1956 in Muncie, he married Janet Sue Evans. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as an electrical engineer for E/Systems and for the City of Greenville. He was a member of several organizations that include the Elks, Shriners, Masons, American Legion, and V.F.W., and he was a member of the Methodist faith.
His survivors include his wife of Greenville; sons Scott Harold Snider of Biloxi, Mississippi, Stephen Michael Snider of Greenville, and Stanley Glen Snider of Amarillo;
brother Victor Snider of Indianapolis, Indiana; 5 grandchildren Shannon J. Snider, Jenna C. Campbell, Michael D. Snider, Evan T. Snider, and Emily A. Snider; and l great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Greenville Elks Lodge, 3504 Wesley St., Greenville, TX 75401 to camp for handicapped children.
