Nellie Louise Bethel

Nellie Louise Bethel, 67 of Merit, Texas, died Friday, May 18, 2012, at her home.  Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry McEntire officiating. 

Mrs. Bethel was born in Rumford, Maine on November 29, 1944.  She was the daughter of Jim Pictou and Geraldine Martha Valentine.  She married Bill Bethel on March 31, 1979, in Garland, Texas. 

Survivors include sons, Billy Burt and wife, Nikki of Greenville, Bryan Burt of Lebanon, Oregon and Bobby Burt of Toronto, Canada; daughter, Annette Calvert of Merit; grandchildren, Monica McEntire, Michelle Calvert, Kasey Burt, Erica Burt, Jordyn Burt, Michael Calvert, Misty Hebert and Dylan Burt; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Dianna Koskela Jackson of Maine.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bethel on December 30, 2006.
