John David Waid, 59, of Greenville, died Monday, April 9, 2012, in Hunt Regional Medical Center.  Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Friday at Caney Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
 
Mr. Waid was born in Commerce on March 5, 1953.  He was the son of J. W. Waid and Ann Flournoy Waid.  On August 8, 1970, he married Linda Casey.  He was the former owner of Atlantis Waterbed Shop.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and an Baptist.  Mr. Waid graduated from Texas A & M University-Commerce.
 
He is survived by his wife, Linda Waid of Greenville; brother, Jim Waid of Salinas, California; sistes, Pat Luckett of Commerce, Nancy Tarrant of Campbell and Lynelle Broyles of Greenville.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
