Gladys Smith

Gladys Smith, 88, of Greenville, died Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Park Haven Nursing Center.  Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Greg Fields will officiate.  Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith was born in Caddo, Oklahoma on August 24, 1923.  She was the daughter of Guy Calhoun and Alma Green Calhoun.  On August 22, 1942, she married W. J. Smith in Atoka, Oklahoma.  She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and worked at the Royal Drive-In for 30 years.

Survivors include her sons, Bill Smith and his wife, Julia of San Antonio, Roger Smith of Greenville, David Smith and his wife, Jean of Arlington and Jackie Smith and his wife, Linda of Lake Fork; daughter, Carol Woodworth of Greenville; sister, Bea Nance of Greenville; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five siblings, sons, Larry Smith and Danny Smith and daughters, Deborah Smith and Shirley Moore.

Pallbearers will be Bill Smith, David Smith, Jackie Smith, Ronnie Webb, Greg Fields and Calvin Durling.  Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Smith, Kyle Goen, Peyton Goen and Evan Goen.
