JAMES CHARLES VODICKA
James Charles Vodicka, 68, of Greenville died in the early morning hours on January 19, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. A rosary service and memorial mass has been scheduled at noon, Saturday, January 26, 2008 at St. Williams Catholic Church. Father Paul Weinberger will officiate and burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.
Son of Charles and Evelyne Wieher Vodicka, he was born June 30, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois. On September 7, 1975, he married Eleanor Flores in Chicago. Mr. Vodicka was a printer of business forms for 40 years. He was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Eleanor of Greenville; four daughters, Mary Vodicka and Bill Trelc of Greenville, Rose and husband, John Canning of Marietta, California, Theresa Newel of Northport, Washington and Catherine and husband, Mike Black of Clinton Township, Michigan; a son-in-law, Randy Bowdre of Bastrop;two brothers, Joh Waters of Wisconsin and William Waters of Chicago, Illinois; a sister, Linda Shelton of Chicago, Illinois; eight grandchildren, John, James, Nicole, Erik, Brooke, Tawnia, Auna Zoe and Nicolas; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carrine Bowdre; and a brother, Francis Vodicka.
