Mary Cathryn White, 102, of Greenville, passed away December 6, 2022 at her residence surrounded by family.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Roy Youngblood officiating.  Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Mary was born April 16, 1920, in Maud, Texas to Albert James and Bertha Caudle Murphy.  She married Gordon Wilson White on March 26, 1939, in Arp, Texas.  She worked as a homemaker and bookkeeper and was a faithful eighty plus year member of First Baptist Church of Greenville.  She was a founder of Hands of Compassion and a seventy plus year member of Extension Homemakers. 

Mary is survived by sons, Gordon Wilson White, Jr. and wife Gay, Pat Murphy White and wife, Lory; daughters, Nancy Jean Windle and Sandra Cathryn Freeman; brother, John Murphy; grandchildren, Windelan Johnson and husband, Loren, Ann Hughes and husband, Kerry, Bill Windle and wife, Michelle, Keith Freeman and wife, Stefani, Kendall Freeman and wife, Cynthia, David White, Rebekah Palaian and husband, Aaron and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother; 5 sisters; sons-in-law, Jimmie Windle and Farrell Freeman.

Pallbearers will include Loren Johnson, Tobey Johnson, Bill Windle, Kerry Hughes, Chad Pessara, Keith Freeman, Kendall Freeman, and David White.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hands of Compassion or First Baptist Church of Greenville.
