Brenda
Weatherford, 70, of Lone Oak, went to be with the Lord on October 24th, 2022,
in Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 29,
2022, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Cook officiating.
Interment will be in Donelton Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. – 8:00
P.M., Friday, October 28, 2022, at the funeral home.
Brenda was born
in Terrell, Texas on April 26th, 1952, to Hulon Castle and Wanda Nash Castle.
She married Billy Weatherford in Rowlett, Texas on December 31, 1970. She
worked for the United States Postal Service as a Clerk and was a member of Lone
Oak Baptist Church.
Brenda’s passion
for sports, ranging in everything from playing baseball herself as a top
position player, to watching her children and grandchildren in everything from
hockey to horses to cheer, and rooting for the Cowboys and Rangers could only
be outrivaled by her love and big heart for her family.
She is survived
by her husband of 52 years, Bill Weatherford, of Lone Oak; her brother, Mike
Castle and wife, Bobbie; her beloved daughters, Jennifer Neal and husband,
Jeff, and Tammy McDonald and husband, Brian; forever known and loved as “Meme”
two granddaughters, Baylee Neal and Addison McDonald; and her grandson, Cooper
Neal.
She was preceded
in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will
be Buddy Stigall, Frank Bickel, Chris Weatherford, Jeremy Weatherford, Brian
McDonald, Jeff Neal, Cooper Neal, and Juan Rivara.
Honorary
pallbearer will be Corley Weatherford.
