Darlene Coleman Cline

 DARLENE COLEMAN CLINE, 86, formerly of Garland, TX passed away from this life Sunday, September 25, 2022 in Durant, OK. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Mercer officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. with the service following at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Clinton Cemetery in Clinton, TX.

Mrs. Cline was born September 17, 1936 in Clinton, TX. She was the daughter of Walter Welch and Nona (Ard) Coleman. On September 24, 1954 in Floyd, TX, Darlene married her grade school sweetheart, Joe Wayne Cline. She met him when she was in the 3rd grade and knew then she would marry him someday.

Darlene was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a Christian of the Methodist faith and an Order of the Eastern Star member. Her dream was to fill her home with 12 children, however she was only able to deliver two safely, her son Marcus Wayne and daughter Rebecca Darlene. To fill that void, she and her husband became foster parents for The Hope Cottage Orphanage, which she learned about through a magazine article. Through the years they fostered a total of 43 babies and adopted their final baby, their daughter Susan Renee.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Nona, her husband Joe Wayne, her son Marcus and daughter-in-law Sharon Cline her daughter Rebecca and son-in-law Grady Golden, brothers Glenn and wife Joyce Coleman, Delaine and wife Vera Coleman, sister Janet and husband Vergle Hall, sister-in-law Billie Coleman and grandson Coleman Cline.

She is survived by her daughter Susan and husband Terry Ensley. Brother Edwin Paul Coleman. Grandchildren Jennifer and husband Mike Green, Sarah and husband Chad Harp, Maggie Payne and Clayton Ensley. Great-grandchildren Ashleigh and husband Cody Rich, Crystal Green, Tristen Campbell, Noah Green, Dillon Harp and Ellison Harp.

Pallbearers are Mike Green, Noah Green, Tristen Campbell, Terry Ensley, Clayton Ensley and Chad Harp.
