Lena May White Sanders

Lena May White Sanders, 87, of Wolfe City, passed away
on July 21, 2022, in Cooper, Texas. Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M., Sunday,
July 24, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Wolfe City with her brother, Michael White officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sanders was born November 6, 1934, in Ladonia,
Texas to Tom Ellis White and Thelma Loretta Woodruff. She married Billy Kellum
Sanders on August 25, 1951. She retired from Raytheon as an Accounting Clerk. Lena
graduated Wolfe City High School in 1954 and served as Class Secretary for 66
years. She was always proud to be a Wolfe City Wolf! She was a 61-year member of
First Baptist Church of Wolfe City with 25 years of perfect attendance.
She is survived by her sons, Stevie Kellum Sanders and
wife, Tina and Roy Kelly Sanders; brother, Michael White and wife, Elizabeth;
sister, Deborah Wilson and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Trina Sanders Coldiron,
Carlos Sanders and wife, Nicole, Marty Sanders, Katina Huie Cooper, and Kyla
Sanders; great-grandchildren, Jaci Coldiron Harrington and husband, Clayton,
Kaci Coldiron, Madison May Sanders- her namesake, Marley Sanders, Kaitlyn
Sanders, and Kelly Amanda Sanders; and great-great-grandsons, Stockton Ray
Harrington, Stetson Lane Harrington, and Stayton Wendell Harrington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents,
brother, Thomas White, and granddaughter, Kayla Elise Sanders.
Pallbearers will be Matt Painter, Brian Williams,
Clayton Harrington, Brandon Ballard, Keith Duncan, Brayden Toon, and Kevin
Horton.
Junior Pallbearers will be Stockton Harrington and
Stetson Harrington.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Williams, Alton
Williams, Bobby Brown, Russell Brown, Phil Tanner, Gary Roundtree, and Larry
Horton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wolfe
City Homecoming, P.O. Box 9, Wolfe City, Texas, 75496 or delivered to Alliance
Bank.
The family wishes to give a special thank you to
Caring Hearts Hospice and her hospice nurse and friend, Joannie Wilkinson.
