 Doris Eugene Brooks, 93, passed away on July 15, 2022, at Briarcliff Health Center, surrounded by her loving family.  Funeral services will be Sunday, July 17, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Sparks officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Doris was born on July 1, 1929. In Vernon, Texas to Jesse F. Smith and Rachel L. Pennington Smith. Doris married the love of her life Clarence L. Brooks on March 7, 1953, in Garland, Texas.  Doris was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a special education resource aid for Greenville ISD.

 Doris is survived by her sons Ronnie Brooks and Jesse Brooks, daughters Donna Pool and Shirley Fite, grandchildren Brenda Collins, Jessica Kilcrease, Billy Brooks, Kimberly Underwood, Cody Brooks, Christy Swank and David McBride, and 11 great grandchildren.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandsons David McBride and Chase Swank.

Pallbearers will be Craig Underwood, Cody Brooks, Colby Underwood, Billy Brooks, Ryan Kilcrease and Kevin Swank.
