J. W. Reeves, Sr., 85, of Greenville, passed away on June
11, 2022 at his residence. A funeral
service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the chapel of
Coker-Mathews with Rev. James Seigler and Rev. Randy Langford officiating. Burial will follow at Tidwell Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 6:00 p.m. to
8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
J. W. was born December 27, 1936 in Greenville, Texas to
Claude Wilton and Ina Bell Williams Reeves.
He married Dorothy F. Sheltman on July 3, 1952 in Durant, Oklahoma. He
retired from Floors by Reeves and was a member of Honey Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, J. W. Reeves, Jr. and wife,
Sheryl, Eddie Wilton Reeves; brother, Buddy Reeves; sisters, Ina Mae Prechtl,
Patsy Reeves, Linda Deaton; grandchildren, Corey Reeves and wife, Rebecca,
Colby Reeves and wife, Candice; great-grandchildren, Jalah Crumpton and
husband, Kolton, Anah Reeves, Christen Chreene, Kyler Reeves, Leah Reeves,
Caitlynn Reeves, Carleigh Reeves and great-great-grandchild, Ezekiel
Enriquez-Reeves.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; infant son, Johnny Glen Reeves;
brother, Billy Charles Reeves; sisters, Betty Raney and Peggy Holley. Pallbearers will be Corey Reeves, Colby Reeves, Kyler
Reeves, Mike Bowen, Johnny Jarosek, and Ray Guzman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Myrick, Donnie Duncan,
Timmy LaRock, Julio Luevanos, Mike Fonner and Scott Thornton.
