Mr. Haynes was born December 1, 1939, in Lone Oak, Texas to Clarence Gray Haynes and Braddie M. Dale. He was self-employed in the Alarm and Security business.

He is survived by his son, Dale Moody “Chip” Haynes, II, of Emory; daughters, Lori Murphy and husband, Monty of  Lone Oak, and Leah Fortenberry and husband, Jim of Greenville; grandchildren, Stephen Haynes and wife, Darcy, Jennifer Haynes, Brandi Schurwon and husband, Michael, Julia White and husband, Layne, Hannah Walsh and husband, Preston, Jake Murphy, Maggie Fortenberry and Jenna Fortenberry; great-grandchildren, Will Haynes, Ashton Locke, Hadley Palmore, Emerson Haynes, Kaden Ake, Haylee Schurwon, Eisley Moon, Parker Walsh, Paisleigh White, and Mason White; along with numerous nieces and nephews that he greatly loved.

Dale did not have a church home but attended services regularly prior to his illness.  His relationship with Christ was such an important part of his life.  He was a quiet man who would share his faith in quiet ways.

Dale was an innovator and accomplished, self-taught mechanic.  He was an amateur toy maker and loved making toys for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Dale was a prankster and loved a good joke.  He loved making trips to Lake Buchanan from early in his life and later on introduced his children to the area, teaching them how to ski and fish.  He also had many hobbies: building kites, playing croquet and washers, square dancing, fishing, water skiing, hunting, renovating antique radios, morse code and many others.

What he loved most was being with his family.  He never missed a family event and was always present for ball games, graduations, birthday parties, Easter, Mother’s Day, Christmas and Thanksgiving.

He always tried to do better than he could with all that he had.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Haynes, Troy Glen Haynes, Tony Haynes, Tray Haynes, Luke Goode, and Jeffrey Isham.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Troy Dale Haynes and Hollis Goode.
