Johnathan Nolan Stubbs, 25, of Greenville, passed away on
August 31, 2021. A memorial service will
be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021
at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Benny
Chaffin officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Johnathan was born October 3, 1995 in Tacoma, Washington to
Nolan Wayne Stubbs, II and Rhonda Collins.
He married Jessica Tudor in Greenville, Texas on July 4, 2020. He was a lineman for Higher Power at the
Dallas, Texas location.
He was a graduate of Commerce High School, Class of 2014. He
earned his welding certifications from Paris Junior College in 2014 and 2015.
Johnathan was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and
fishing. As a teenager he captured many awards at skeet shooting competitions.
He enjoyed other outdoor adventure sports and ATV activities. He was known to
sink a 4-wheeler or two in a mud hole or stream. He loved to work on the family
farm, cutting and hauling hay, and working
cattle. He had a sarcastic side smile and a kind heart. Johnathan was a
hard worker with an easy-going spirit – he
never met a stranger and didn't have an enemy.
Johnathan is survived by his wife, Jessica Stubbs; mother,
Rhonda Stubbs; father, Nolan Wayne Stubbs, II and wife, Debbie; son, Carter
Nolan Stubbs; brother, Andrew Goerdt; in-laws, Steven and Koni Tudor;
grandparents, Cecelia Stubbs, Bob & Wendy Parris; Tom and Judy Collins;
numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his Pa Pa, Nolan Wayne Stubbs.
