Billy Don Eudy of Celeste, Texas,
passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 5, 2021. He was 72 years young. He left a tremendous
impact on his family and friends that will last forever. He will truly be
missed and never forgotten.
Billy Don was born on August 28,
1948, in Clarksville, Texas. He spent his childhood years in Dallas, Texas. His
family moved to Celeste, Texas, in his teen years, where he graduated from
Celeste High School in 1968. Making his permanent home in Celeste, Billy Don
worked for the Procter & Gamble Company in Dallas, Texas, for approximately
20 years. It was there he trained and became a certified HVAC technician. After
retiring from P&G, he was a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal
Service. He served customers through his business, Eudy A/C, for many years,
always providing fair and honest service.
Billy Don had a variety of interests
and loves. He loved traveling to Mexico for fishing and enjoyed the beautiful
beaches and ocean. Billy Don was an avid runner throughout most of his life and
modeled the importance of fitness and exercise daily. He was a fierce
competitor when playing softball, horseshoes, golf, or any sport. Always a
dedicated fan, Billy Don cheered and jeered the Dallas Cowboys and Texas
Rangers. Recently, he found much joy four-wheeling with friends and family. He
was always his grandchildren's biggest fan and attended their events with
enthusiasm and love.
He was preceded in death by his
parents, John Edgar Eudy and Doris Christine Whitley Eudy. Brother, Johnny
Glenn Eudy, preceded him as well.
Billy Don is survived by wife,
Teresa Haun Eudy of Celeste, Texas; daughter Shana Nowlin and husband Brandt of
McKinney, Texas, daughter Wendy Baridon and husband Brett of Royse City, Texas,
daughter Mendy Hill and husband Richard of Denison, Texas; grandchildren John
Hill, Cade Baridon, Haley Nowlin, Jack Hill, Mason Nowlin, and Carly Nowlin;
brother Jim Eudy and wife Sue of Celeste, Texas, brother Jearold Eudy and wife
Paulette of Leonard, Texas; nephew Todd Eudy and wife Amy of Forney, Texas;
nephew Johnny Dale Eudy and wife Dedra of Celeste, Texas, niece Tina McDaniel and
husband John of Celeste, Texas, niece Suzanne Provence and husband Bret of
Forney, Texas, niece Crystal Brown and husband Chad of Celeste, Texas, numerous
great-nephews and great-nieces; brothers-in-law Steve Haun and wife Peggy of
Granville, Illinois, Mark Haun and wife Debbie of McNabb, Illinois, Jim Haun
and wife Kelly of Mark, Illinois, Bradley Haun of McNabb, Illinois;
sisters-in-law Patty Adame and husband Jeff of Lake Wales, Florida, Jean
Delaney and husband Tim of Streator, Illinois. Lastly, Billy Don treasured
numerous friendships he developed throughout his lifetime.
A Celebration of Life will be held
at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Chapel in
Greenville, Texas. A visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00
p.m. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. The family will have a private interment at
Cuthand Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made in memory of Billy Don Eudy to the Celeste Volunteer Fire Department (First Bank Of Celeste) or
the Wolfe City Fire Department (Alliance Bank in Wolfe City).
