Luther Murrell “L. M.” Martin, 91, of Greenville, passed
away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans
Home in Bonham. A graveside service will
be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Memoryland Memorial Park
with Rev. Johnny Hailes officiating.
Visitation will be held at 12 noon until service time at Coker-Mathews
L. M. was born March 31, 1927 in Caddo Mills, Texas to John
and Ola Jennings Martin. He married
Marguriete Evelyn Hedric on January 18, 1947 in Hunt County, Texas. He served his country during WWII, with the
U. S. Navy. He was awarded the Victory
Medal, the American Campaign Medal and a Bronze Star. He worked as a truck driver and was a member
of Park St. Baptist Church.
L. M. is survived by his sons, Billy Mark Martin and wife,
Vickie of Georgetown, Tommy Glen Martin and wife, Debra of Greenville, and Kenneth
Murrell Martin and wife, Karen of Caddo Mills; sister, Catherin Mitchell; nine
grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and

Martin; wife; sisters, Willie Ramsey and Nancy Hart; 2 granddaughters, Lauryn
Martin and Kathryn Martin; and great-granddaughter, Jules Martin.
