Jackie Gwin Davis
6/23/1933 - 11/16/2018

Jackie Gwin Davis, born in Enloe, Texas on June 23, 1933, went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2018, at Colonial Lodge Assisted Living in Greenville, Texas. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jackie Lee Davis, her mother, Ella Irene Johnson Davis Faulkner, her father Jack Davis,  and several Aunts and Uncles. Mrs. Davis worked at a bank in Alamogordo, NM., a telephone operator in Commerce, TX, and at MacArthur High School (Aldine ISD) Houston, TX as a Library Aide. Jackie Gwin's most important role was a loving Wife and Mother.

This amazingly strong woman also loved to laugh and bring joy to those around her. Jackie leaves behind her loving children, Vicki Klawinski, Judy and Darrell Smith and Mike and Ann  Davis,  grandchildren, Stacey Smith, Kristen Klawinski, and Michael and Elizabeth Klawinski, and great-grandchildren, Ethan Klawinski and Trenton Poindexter. She is also survived by her sister Imogene Flanagan, nieces Elizabeth Ann Embrey and Jane Gaskill, nephew, Kent Flanagan, and great-nieces Debbie Covington, Sandy Sinks, Pam Palmer and Tina Sandidge.

Jackie Gwin was blessed to share the love of her sisters and brothers in law. Those surviving her are Norma Jean Burton, Benny and Cindy Davis, and Mary Jane and Carlton Sewell. She was also close to her nieces and nephew, Debbie Burkett, Sheila Kavanaugh, Carla Sewell, Gina Horton, Lisa Rainey, Stacey Tullos, Lori Tabor, Chris Davis, Joney Davis, Terry Davis, Brenda McLamb, Johnny Baughn, Cindy Summers, Charlene Wilkinsen Coffey, Marsha Baughn Wolf Cooper and Rhonda Lawrence.

Jackie never met a stranger. She was blessed with loving, caring friends and neighbors such as Barbara and Jacky Moore, Dena Francis, Wendy, and Floyd Nelson.

Jackie's Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, November 2018, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel in Greenville, Texas.
