It is with great sadness that the family of Leah
Rae Gatlin of New Boston Texas announces her passing after a lengthy battle
with dementia, on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at the age of 73 years. Leah was
a very successful woman, she retired from Bank of America after 42 years. She
was a beloved mother, memaw and friend to many. Leah will be lovingly
remembered by her children, Karen and husband Joe Thomason, Michael and wife
Connie Landreth, Kathy and husband Larry Power. Leah will also be fondly remembered
by her fourteen grandchildren, Kimberly, Jeffery, Morgan, Jason, Jessica, Hope,
Shelby, Marcus, Dalton, Anthony
Kayleigh, Tristan, Taylor, Matt and her eighteen great-grandchildren.
Leah was preceded in
death by her parents, Curtis English and Inez English, her siblings Curtis Jr,
Donn, Charles, her son John Morgan, her Husband and best friend Johnny Gatlin. Visitation
will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.at the Coker-Mathews
Funeral Home, 5100 I-30, Greenville, Texas.
The Funeral Service in memory of Leah will be held on Monday, October
15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, 5100 I-30,
Greenville, Texas with Pastor Kelvin Prock officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. in New Boston,
Texas at Godley Prairie Cemetery.
