Jimmy was born on July 5, 1957 in Greenville, Texas to Billy
Ray and Jimmie Farrell Campbell Ishmael.
He worked in the fabrication of metal industry and was of the Christian
Jimmy was best known for his love for his family, friends
and involvement in the community. His
family was his life, and he made each one know how special they were to
him. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He attended First Baptist Church of
Kingston, and enjoyed working with the youth and helping with men’s outreach
and cookouts. During his lifetime, he
was involved with the Greenville Jaycees Christmas Parades and fund raising,
Northeast Texas Rods and Classics, Cash Volunteer Fire Department and other
organizations. His laughter and
personality filled the space he occupied, and helped make a house home, work
fun and service projects far from boring.
He knew what hard work was and enjoyed pitching in. Just prior to his illness, he was employed as
a design engineer at JC Worley Ornamental Ironworks in Wylie, and worked on the
side for Rick Sampson and John Gotcher and many other home builders as a
carpenter. He could make something
awesome out of scraps of building materials and metal, and took the extra time
to make it special and with character. His
family, many friends and running buddies will miss him greatly.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Joshua Ishmael; daughter,
Courtney Ishmael and fiancé, Troy Bonneville; mother to his children, Diann
Jones, all of Celeste; brother, Billy F. Ishmael of Greenville; sister, Judie
Massey and husband, John of Greenville; grandchildren, Levi Ray Bonneville,
Tucker Lee Bonneville; nephew, John Massey, III and niece, Kayla Massey.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
