L. J. Pritchett, 88, of Dallas died Sunday at Baylor Medical Center at Irving.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Ralson officiating.  Interment will follow at Brigham Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday, 12 noon until service time.

Mr. Pritchett was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas on November 16, 1929.  He was the son of Fred Pritchett and Myrtle Jackson Pritchett.  He married Ruby Samples on March 3, 1951 in Greenville.  He was veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps and a retired mechanic.  He was a Baptist.  He was a professional musician with the nickname of “Skid Row”.  He played in the bands of Rowe Brothers for 30 years and Texan Playboys for 5 years. 

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Pritchett of Dallas; son, Mike Pritchett and wife, Betty of Mesquite; grandson, Michael Aaron Pritchett; and great-grandsons, Aaron and Kade Pritchett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Gary Wayne Pritchett and five brothers.
