Winnie Mae Hamilton Sherer, 86 of Greenville, passed away
Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday,
April 4, 2018 at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. John Foster
officiating. Burial will follow at
Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation
will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born November 13, 1931 in Greenville, Texas, she was the
daughter of Henry Hulet Hamilton and Gladys Ragsdale. She married Jimmie Sherer on March 15, 1952
in Dallas.
Mrs. Sherer was a homemaker and a member of Highland Terrace
Baptist Church. She was also a member of
the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Sherer of Greenville;
sons, Bart Sherer and wife, Sissy of Greenville, Ricky Sherer and wife, Lisa of
Greenville, Rusty Sherer and wife, Diane of Garland; grandsons, Chance Sherer
and wife, Stephanie, Curtis Sherer and wife, Katie, Trevor Sherer and wife,
Lindsey and Caleb Sherer.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Kevin
Sherer.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
