Pamela Sue Bench

Pamela Sue Bench ''Nana'', passed away on June 8, 2024, at the age of 68, surrounded by her loving family.

Pam was born on April 12, 1956 in Farmersville, TX to Alton M. Childers and Ila Mae Poe. She was the youngest out of her six siblings. She grew up in a warm and nurturing household, instilling in her a strong sense of values and a deep love for family. Pam's infectious laughter, kindness and generosity of spirit touched countless lives throughout her life.

Pam's dedication to her family was a cornerstone of her life. She married Larry Alan Bench on May 16, 1978 and had two children; Leo Alan Bench and Jason Alan Bench.

Pam's boundless energy and enthusiasm extended far beyond her family circle. She was a treasured friend to many and her friendships were a vital part of her life. Pam's hard work and dedication also extended beyond her personal life. If you ever walked into the retail store, ''Bealls'' where she worked, you probably walked out knowing exactly who Pam Bench was!
If you didn't find Pam spending time with family, watching the latest movie in theaters or enjoying a meal at Texas RoadHouse, you probably could find her dancing! Pam's love for dancing was a beautiful aspect of her personality. You could turn on any of her favorite tunes and she would be up and dancing putting smiles on everyone's faces. She loved the attention and wasn't afraid of having a good time. Pam loved watching 'I Love Lucy'. She loved it so much that she dedicated a whole bedroom in her home filled with her most prized collections! Most importantly, Pam loved the Lord with all her heart and shared His love with everyone around her.

Pam is survived by her husband of 46 years; Larry, her sons; Leo Bench and daughter in law, Kim, and Jason Bench. Grandchildren; Amanda Bobbitt, husband McKlane, Nathan Bench, Taylor Wise, fiancé Donny and Colton Wise, wife Kelly. Great Grandchildren; Noah Jade Bobbitt (2) Rhett Wise (2) and Kimber Wise (1), and Quinnzel Bench (2) and numerous extended family members that loved her dearly and brought joy into her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Alton M. Childers and Ila Mae Poe, her brothers, Leon Childers, Jerry Childers and Kenneth Childers, her sisters; Yvonne McCrary, Lou Walding and Maxine Miller.

In the words of 2 Corinthians 5:8, ''We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.'' Pam may be gone, but her faith and legacy live on, a testament to the power of a life dedicated to serving God and loving others. We find peace knowing Pam is healed and rejoicing with all of her loved ones in Heaven, that we too, will be reunited with one day.

Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2024 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home and Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 2:30pm at Coker- Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joyce Pattison officiating.

this was truly a match made in heaven. I am so going to miss her so much and I regret not
going to see her as much as i should have, but when i did she was always smiling and always
giving me a lot of hugs. She is now in the heaven above having a wonderful time with her other
sisters and brothers and her mom and dad. Rest in peace my beautiful cousin.
