Mrs. Cathey was born on December 4, 1925, in Quinlan, Texas to John M. Roberts and Lillie Nee White. She married Hiram W. Cathey on July 20, 1946. She was a homemaker and was of the Church of Christ faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Woodridge; and sister, Ollie Murray.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998, her parents, brothers: J.O Roberts and Bill Roberts, sisters: Johnnie Ruth Roberts, Opal Ray, Era Williams, Maud Smith and Dorothy York.
