Gary was born May 26, 1943, in Winona, Minnesota to James and Beatrice Peterson Trainor. He married Judith Briesath. He was a veteran, serving with the U. S. Army. He traveled the US creating stain glass windows and doing repairs.
Gary is survived by his wife, Judy Trainor; sons, Gregg Trainor, Bo Trainor; daughters, Christy Garness, Season Trainor; brothers, Doug Trainor, Brian Trainor; sisters, Marie Trainor, Debra Block; one grandson and two great-granddaughters.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, William Trainor.
