Jonah Bryant Wilson, 16, of Wolfe City and Greenville, left this world on the evening of May 11th, 2023. A funeral service for Jonah will be at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 A.M., on Thursday May 18, 2023, with Rev. Jamie Howland officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at the funeral home.

He was born September 15, 2006, to Rachael Harrison and Kye Wilson.

Jonah, the most cheerful and loving son and grandson a family could ask for, is survived by his ''Papa,'' Steve Yeager; his ''Grandma,'' Kim Yeager; mother and stepfather, Rachael and Patrick Harrison; father and stepmother, Kye and Jaimi Wilson; siblings, Patrick, Gabe, Kaleigh, Ella, and Finley; Grandparents Eddie and CK Wilson, and Skip and Shirley Harrison; girlfriend, Hester Rico; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and great grandparents. Jonah was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Bert Maxfield.

Jonah was a student at Wolfe City High School and Trimsetters Barber Academy, in Greenville. He had aspirations of becoming a successful barber, like his brothers, and had just recently started cutting the hair of his friends. He looked forward to the day his career would afford him a muscle car.
Jonah was a happy young man, full of jokes and laughter, ever intent on bringing smiles to the faces of others. He enjoyed many things in life, including shopping for sharp shoes with his Papa, staying up late on Facetime with his brother Gabe as they played the newest video games, riding his electric scooter where he wasn't supposed to, listening to good music, watching Shameless with his girlfriend, traveling on vacation, and spending as much time with friends and family as he could.

Above all, Jonah was a loving person. The memories he endowed on those around him are infinite. His untimely passing leaves a hole in the hearts of friends and family alike. His eternal smile and passion for life will never be forgotten, instilling that same passion in the remembrances of all who knew him.
