Billie was born July 18, 1918, in Floyd, Texas to Rayford and Myrtle Turner Bench. She married Tommy Summerlin on May 3, 1952, in Greenville, Texas. She worked as a secretary and was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
Billie is survived by her granddaughters, Stephanie Lamm and husband, Mark, Staci Prier and husband, Cliff; great-grandchildren, Maisie Lamm, Cade Prier, Brendan Prier and special friend Dorothy Williams.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughters, Nelda and Nancy; daughter, Sue Shanks and sisters, Peggy Gilbert and Glenda McDonald.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Bench, Jerry Coats, Amos Lowry, Mike Warren, Bill Dennis and Ray Wallen.
