Allen Lee "Cowboy" Pendergraft, 73, of Greenville, passed away on November 13, 2022, at his residence. Funeral services will be Friday, November 18, 2022, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Allgood officiating. Burial will follow the service at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 AM until the service at the funeral home.

Allen was born on May 19, 1949, in San Jose California to Imagene Foreman Pendergraft. Allen married Linda Sanchez on January 16, 1999, at Lake Tahoe, California. Allen was a Vietnam Veteran with the 101 Screaming Eagles Airborne Division, serving in the US Air Force. He owned American Private Investigator and worked as a Private Investigator 20 plus years. He was a professional horseman, bull rider and farrier. He loved hunting and fishing in Tahoe Bason, California with his buddies, and one time he "accidently" ended up in Oregon.

Allen was a friend to all and could always regale you with a story. He led an amazing life, full of adventures. There was not a challenge that he wouldn't accept, he loved his family fiercely and was loved and respected by many. He had special connection with children of all ages, in his 70's, he challenged one little girl to a hopscotch contest and lost. He was the most generous person you would ever meet.

Allen is survived by his wife, Linda of Greenville; son, Tim Pendergraft and wife, Melissa; adopted daughter, Jennifer McKague; aunt, Janet Foreman; cousins, Rocky Foreman and Jerry Foreman.

Allen is preceded in death by his mother.

Pallbearers will be Tim, Greg, Dan, Mark, James, and Joe.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St Jude's Children's Foundation, www.stjude.org
