On Wednesday, October 12th, 2022, Paul Truitt Horton was called home at the age of 68. The world has lost a great father, grandfather, and brother however we know that we will see him again.
Paul was born February 26th, 1954, to
the late David W. and Ola Mae Horton in Greenville Texas. Paul was raised in
Celeste and a long time Hunt Co. resident, where after high school he started
his lifetime career of changing tires, truck driving and started his family.
Paul was a collector of hot wheels and trains; he
never met a stranger and was always willing to help others. He will always be
remembered for the smiles he brought to everyone, the overalls he loved to
wear, the "chaw" of tobacco (aka dessert) in his mouth and his love for old
cars and old westerns.
Paul is survived by his 5 children, daughter Stacy
Evans and her husband Joey in Greenville, son Dwayne Horton and his wife Joanie
in Sulphur Springs, son Darrin Horton and his wife Lacey in Greenville, son
James Horton in Leonard, daughter Danyelle Juarez and husband Cord in Wolfe
City. His greatest joys, 10 grandchildren Dkota, Caleb, Dwayne (LD), Josh,
Anna, Thomas, Sofia, Cord (JR), Antonio (AJ), and Selena. His brothers Lloyd,
James, Johnny, Bobby and Steve, his sister Barbara. Paul is preceded in death
by his wife Donna, his parents, and numerous siblings.
October 29th at 2:00pm a memorial
service will be held at Harvest Bible church, 4915 Hwy 34 S Greenville TX
75402. In lieu of flowers the family asked for you to make a charitable
donation to a charity of your choice in Paul's name, or you can reach out to
