Arja Glen Medina
November 17, 1977 - October 19, 2022
Arja Glen Medina,
44, of Farmersville, passed away on October 19, 2022, at his home. There will
be a celebration of his life held in the near future with friends and family in
Colorado, as well a celebration of his life with his friends and family in
Texas. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Arja
was born November 17, 1977, in Englewood, Colorado to Glen Medina and Nancy
Lefler. He married Courtney Lyn Guess on October 31, 2020, in the back yard of
their home in Farmersville, Texas; officiated by none other than fat Elvis in
front of the sunset, and they danced together by the light of the blue moon
with friends and family. He worked for
American Airlines as
an Aircraft Mechanic and to him it just didn't feel like work. He had a passion
for airplanes, and he enjoyed watching
them land in the sunrise right from the hangar doors where he was working, old war planes, flying
his RC planes from the backyard, and his dream was to be the man who could
stand up and fly the plane if the pilot went out (Airplane). He strove to be the best father he could be.
The relationship with each of his kids including his wife's kids was special
and individual for each one; his love for them was true, strong, immeasurable,
and he loved each of them with every fiber of his heart and soul. His wife,
kids and family, nieces and nephews were the most important people in his life.
His long-time best friends are guys he considered brothers. His laugh and his smile were electric, he
was handsome, an instigator, a
pain in the ass, honest, loyal, witty,
sarcastic, funny, loving and he had a heart made of gold. He knew so much about
motorcycles and his knowledge of old cars rivaled any Mecum or Barrett-Jackson
announcer and he really believed just about everything with
a smooth surface deserved to be pinstriped. He loved and appreciated just to
sit out in Ziggland's dog park in their back yard, sip on some coffee with his
wife and talk about their dreams and plans for the future, it was the most
special place for him with his wife and their pups, Ziggy, Zooey, Hank, Willy,
Waylon and June. He had a
movie or tv quote for every situation in life and the only way to spell kool
was with a 'K'. He truly
touched so many hearts and lives and will surely be missed.
He
is survived by his wife, Courtney Medina; daughters, Morgan Medina, Karsen Medina, Emma
Medina, and Rylee Bitterly; son, Connor Murphy; parents, Glen and Nancy Medina;
sisters, Kim Davis and Leslie Ward; brothers, Jeremy Davis and Steve Ward; father-in-law,
Bradford Guess; mother-in-law, Lyn Guess; along with numerous nieces and
nephews, and one great-nephew.
He
was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncle, and aunt.
